Planning for the Class of 2017 8th Grade Celebration is underway. Check the calendar for planning committee meeting dates and times.

Come to a meeting to learn more about how you can participate. Our sub-committees include Fundraising (Bagel Sales), Decorations, Reception, Ceremony, Dance, and Video and we have many areas where we can put your talents to use!

If you are the parent of a 7th grader, we need you too!   It is tradition at BCS that 7th grade parents help with this event.

2016-2017 Important Dates

General Information
This year's 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony and Farewell Celebration will take place on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. The ceremony will begin at 6:30pm, light appetizers and desserts will be served at 7:30pm, and the 8th grade (student only) party will take place from 8:00 - 10:00pm.

Volunteer Information
We need 15+ 7th and 8th grade parents to assist on June 12th and 13th with setting up the gym for the ceremony, decorating, and chaperoning and cleaning up after the party/dance.
- Monday, June 12: Rehearsal TBD
- Tuesday, June 13: Ceremony & Setup TBD

  • Ceremony Set-Up (Gym): 2:00pm - 4:00pm
  • Dance Set-Up (Cafeteria): 2:00pm - 4:00pm
  • Decorating School: 12:00pm - 4:00pm
  • Reception Set-Up (Front Loop or Media Center Lobby): 4:30pm - 6:30pm
  • Party/Dance Chaperones/Clean-Up: 7:00pm - 10:30pm
