The Lego Robotics team competes with area schools. A theme is presented and the team is scored on three parts: research and presentation, team cooperation, and accuracy of the robot in completing tasks.
The first meeting was Monday September 12, 2011 All students in grades 3-8 are welcome. These meetings will be held in the Lego Robotics choice hour classroom on Mondays from 4:05-6:00. There will be no bus service home.
The competition will take place (most likely) in Flint on a Saturday in November. Please email newdawnagain@yahoo.com with any questions you may have.

4-8 Geography Bee
BCS is going to hold a Geography Bee this year. Students in grades 4-8 are eligible to participate. The school-wide bee will be held on Tuesday, January 10th. The winner of the school bee will take a written test to qualify for the National Geographic State Bee.
Special student/staff afternoon performance on Friday, February TBD at 4:15 to 5:30ish. Students will need to arrange their own transportation home after the play.
Public Performances on Thursday, February TBD and Friday February TBD at 7:30 pm These performances will have an intermission and will end at approximately 9pm. Doors open at 7pm for seating. Concessions will be available.
The 8th Grade Celebration is BCS's year-end tradition of graduating our 8th graders. Between the Ceremony, Reception and Dance, it is a truly memorable night. If you have not had the pleasure of attending a previous BCS Celebration, you will be amazed by this very special event.
