BCS Blasts Through Time Summary!  What a Blast it was!  Thank you to each of you who stepped up to volunteer orchestrating a truly incomparable event that is BCS.  Thank you to each of you who supported the Blast this year either with your regular and frequent bids during our online auction or your presence at the Blast last Sunday.  With your support in so many ways, our students had a great time, and we raised $53,000 dollars for our PTSA which will directly support the enhanced programs and resources for which BCS is known positively impacting our students and their daily learning experiences.  Additionally, we had 80 new families coming next year join us.  While every volunteer and lead coordinator was critical in the event’s success, I would like to personally give a heartfelt Thank You to Deanna Brown and Ryan Abney for co-chairing this huge event.  In short, it is the collaborative engagement of the entire BCS community that makes BCS A Great Place to Be and the Blast is a perfect example of our community engagement!  From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for your support!

Our Heroic Book Drive for Flint sponsored by our BCS NJHS for the month of March is up and running.  BCS is partnering with GEARup2LEAD to collect books for families in Flint and Genesee Counties.  The GEARup2READ Book Drive is not an ordinary book drive.  In today’s world, heroic leadership skills are needed at an early age.  Donate a book with a "heroic character" to help send the message to children to be heroic leaders and create positive change within their communities. Bins are located in the BCS main lobby.  Learn more here.

BCS is a great place to be!  Check out the pictures from the week on our Facebook Page.  We’re looking forward to another great week of learning at BCS!
